The Hideaway Retreat is nestled on the beautiful and natural setting of the Santa Rosa Sound. On our five acres, you can enjoy a quality camping experience. Guests love visiting our campground as our mature oak and magnolia trees offer more shade and relaxation than most campgrounds throughout the state.

Florida's state parks have plenty of options for camping throughout the state. Full-facility campsites for tent campers and RVers include water, electricity, a grill and picnic table, along with centralized showers, restrooms and dump station. We are located between the beautiful beaches of Destin and Pensacola. This area is sometimes referred to as “Old Destin,” and it's minutes away from the award winning Gulf of Mexico Beach. Visitors are awestruck by the scenery and comfortable setting. It is little wonder that this area is referred to as “Florida’s Most Relaxing Place.”

As a boutique RV campground, we offer an environment with classic charm and a cozy atmosphere. The Hideaway offers 50 RV sites and 10 tent sites, in a vintage style layout, spaced out in a way that affords more space and privacy than most. There is also a little blue house for rent soon that provides stunning views of the Sound!

This little Florida gem has a 1930’s camp lobby, new laundry facility, bathhouse, and other amenities. Some of our facilities are undergoing renovations and additions and will be opening soon. Please pardon our progress as we refine this gemstone of a campground into the diamond it truly is.

The term “condo mango” was coined by Dr. Richard Campbell, Ph.D., the curator of tropical fruit at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in Coral Gables, Florida. It refers to varieties that are conducive to growing inside containers, and thus small by nature and can be kept even smaller through selective pruning. Condo mangos are suitable for balconies, greenhouses, or for planting in suburban backyards. By cutting the tips of the branches once or twice a year, the trees can easily be maintained at six to ten feet according to variety. Training the tree to stay small is very easy, and the fruits of your labor are sure to impress.
